The Space Between
Hosted by Julie Clarke
The Space Between is a place to pause, reflect and find meaning in life's quieter moments.
Through personal reflections and thoughtful conversations with guests, we explore wellbeing, resilience, purpose, intuition, relationships and what it means to live with greater intention.
Some episodes are inspired by my own journey following a life-changing car accident in 2006. Others are conversations with people whose stories and experiences offer wisdom, hope and fresh perspectives.
Whether you're looking for a moment of calm, inspiration to begin again, or simply a space to reflect, I hope you'll find something here that speaks to you.
Thank you for joining me.
Take good care of yourself.
Julie

Reflection Three — Stepping Back into the World
In this reflection, I share what it felt like to step back into the world after years focused on recovery — returning to university, rediscovering my love of learning and slowly rebuilding my confidence.
Sometimes courage isn't about doing something extraordinary.
Sometimes it's simply about walking through a door.

Reflection Two — Learning to Begin Again
How do we begin again when life no longer looks the way we expected?
In the second of four personal reflections, I share some of the quieter parts of my recovery journey following a car accident in 2006 — and how meditation, simple daily rituals, forgiveness and learning to trust my intuition gradually helped me create a new way forward.
From my simple Tea Meditation to an unexpected moment on a beach and a quiet instinct that ultimately led me towards someone who became an important part of my recovery, this reflection is about the small moments that can change the direction of our lives.
Recovery, for me, wasn't one dramatic breakthrough.
It was hundreds of tiny decisions, one ordinary day after another.
And somewhere along the way, I realised I wasn't simply recovering.
I was coming home to myself.

What happens when life suddenly changes direction?
In the first of four personal reflections, I share part of my journey following a car accident in 2006 and the unexpected lessons I learned about hope, identity and choosing to believe in possibility—even when there seemed little reason to do so.
Reflection One – When Life Changes Direction is an invitation to pause and consider what choosing hope might look like in your own life today.
